UK - 2014 figures

 

 

• In 2014. 38 million adults (76%) in Great Britain accessed the internet everyday. That is 21 million more than in 2006.
• Access to the internet using a mobile phone has doubled between 2010 and 2014, from 24% to 58%. 
• In 2014, 74% of all adults bought goods or services online. This is up from 53% in 2008. 49% of the population purchased their clothing online.
• 67% of adults in Britain are aware of internet storage spaces, but only 35% of people actually use these services.
• 22 million households (84%) had access to the internet, which rose from 57% in 2006.
• Fixed broadband internet connections were used by 91% of households.
• Has a 1.95% share of the worlds internet

 

USA - 2014 figures

 

• There were 279,834,232 internet users in 2014. This has grown by 7% since 2013.

 

 

 

• The image shows that North America had the highest number of internet users with a total of 310.3 million.
• Central America had the lowest number of internet users with a sum of 72.4 million.
• Hispanics represent 47 million traditional TV viewers in the US.

• The countries in the EU account for 14% of the worlds internet users.

France:

•  France has 55,429,382 million internet users  - (internet usage figures in 2014)
• It has grown by 1,521,369 since 2013
• France has 1.90% share of the worlds internet 

Switzerland:

• Has 7,180,749 thousand internet users - (internet access figures in 2014)
• This has grown by 227,983 thousand since 2013
• Switzerland accounts for 0.25% of the world internet usage 

China

 

•  China has the highest internet usage in the world, with a total of 641,601,070 million internet users - (internet usage figures in 2014)
• This has grown by 24,021,070 million since 2013
• China accounts for 21.97% of the worlds internet usage 

 

Russia 

 

• Russia has 84,437,793 million internet users. Russia falls at number 6 in the list of highest interne users
• Russia's internet usage has grown by 7,494,536 since 2013
• Accounts for 2.89% of the worlds internet users

Zimbabwe:

• Has 2,852,757 million internet users - (internet usage figures 2014)
• This has grown by 406,610 thousand since 2013
• Accounts for 0.10% of the worlds internet users

Sierra Leone:

• Has 92,232 thousand internet users - (internet usage figures 2014)
• Has grown by 12,123 since 2013
• Only 1.49% of the population of Sierra Leone has access to the internet

Liberia:

• 190,731 thousand people have access to the internet - (internet access figures 2014)
• The number of users has grown by 25,933 since 2013
• Account for 0.01% of the worlds internet usage
• 0.06% of the population of Liberia have access to the internet
